HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After falling in their University of Rochester Tournament opener last night to the host Yellowjackets, the Bengals looked to close out the weekend on a high note in their consolation matchup against the Springfield College Pride.
  • In the first half, the Pride controlled play with efficient shooting and tight defense, forcing the Bengals to battle from behind. A Bengals three-pointer briefly cut the deficit to single digits, but an 8–0 Pride run pushed the gap back to double figures. By halftime, the Bengals faced a sizable deficit and looked to spark a comeback after the break.
  • In the second half, the Pride continued their strong play, extending their lead early and maintaining control throughout. A difficult shooting day hindered the Bengals' ability to close the gap, and the Pride held their advantage to defeat the Bengals in the consolation matchup.
FOR THE FOES
  • Josh Hartley led the Pride with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
  • As a team, the Pride shot 44.8% from the field and 73.3% from the free-throw line.
