BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team earned a thrilling 2-0 over the Fredonia Blue Devils in the SUNYAC Semifinals on Coyer Field this afternoon. With the win, the Bengals advance to the SUNYAC Championship for a second straight season.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Sam Gregson (Anglesey, Wales/Ysgol David Hughes) and Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) each scored for the Bengals.
- Tapiwa Mushonga (Johannesburg, South Africa/Hilton College) earned an assist.
- Carson Smith (Big Flats, NY/Horseheads) made a pair of saves to earn the shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both sides were in much of a stalemate in the first half. The Bengals finally broke through late as Mushonga nailed a perfect pass across to Gregson who headed the ball for the score.
- Following the goal, the Bengals carried a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- It was much of the same in the second half, however, Rivera found an opening late in the half and netted a game-sealing goal with four minutes remaining.
- Smith made a late save and killed the final seconds for the Buffalo State win.
- Overall, the Bengals outshout Fredonia 16-3 with Buffalo State having seven shots on goal.

- Fred Butler led the Blue Devils with a pair of shots.
- Thomas McDonald made five saves in the effort.
