Women's Hockey Holds Off New England College, 4-3

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team won their fourth straight game following a 4-3 final over New England College this afternoon in the Ice Arena.

  • Amerie Delormier (Hogansburg, NY/OHA Mavericks Prep), Sydney Radecki (Lancaster, NY/Buffalo Regals), and Keegan Scott (Beamsville, ON/Niagara Falls Rapids) also scored for Buffalo State.
  • Amelia Knott (North Adelaide, Australia/Lovell Academy Lions) needed to make just 10 saves in net for the win.
  • The Bengals outshot the Pilgrims 51-13 overall while also winning 30 of 51 total faceoffs.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • New England got the scoring started in the second period with a goal on a power play opportunity.
  • The Bengals responded under two minutes later as Scott scored to even things at 1-1.
  • With a 1-1 tie entering the third period, the Pilgrims scored again to take a 2-1 lead.
  • Radecki scored less than one minute later to even the score again. Delormier netted her second goal of the season almost immediately after giving Buffalo State a 3-2 lead.
  • After the Pilgrims evened the score again, Carlson kept her dominant freshman campaign going as she scored the game-winning goal 16 seconds later to give Buffalo State the lead for good.
 
FOR THE FOES
  • Pnina Bsov and Jamie Blondin each had a goal and an assist.
  • Anna McGinty made 47 saves in goal in the effort.
 
UP NEXT
The Bengals return to action in 2026 where they will host St. John Fisher at 3:00 pm on January 6.
