HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Coming off a tough loss against the New Paltz Hawks, the Bengals looked to answer the call against the Red Dragons today. Opening the first half, both teams looked to be feeling out how each team wanted to attack, with the score to show as the Bengals and Red Dragons were locked into a tie early. The Red Dragons looked to have come out with an answer before the Bengals were able to, as 11-0 run created a 11-point deficit for the Bengals with under six minutes left in the first half. The Bengals were able to hold the Red Dragons offensive attack, getting some crucial stops while also getting some shots to go in and went into halftime down seven-points against the Red Dragons.
  • In the second half, the Bengals looked to make the necessary adjustments needed, going on a 10-0 run and taking a one-point lead over the Red Dragons. As play continued, both teams would trade baskets before a late Red Dragons run would see them go up seven-points over the Bengals, with under five minutes left of play. While the Bengals were able to get the game within two possessions, the Red Dragons were able to hold on, with the Bengals going down in a hard-fought battle at home.
FOR THE FOES
  • Cam LaClair led the Red Dragons in scoring with 14-points.
  • Tyler Harts cleared up the boards for the Red Dragons, pulling down nine rebounds.
