- Kieran Eagen (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West) paced the Bengals with 12 kills and a .409 attack percentage while Kaden Strong (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca East) added 11 kills of his own.
- Drew Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) racked up 35 assists in the win.
- Hayden McCue (Fairport, NY/Fairport) added five blocks while Alex Vega (Cambita Garabitos, Dominican Republic) had 12 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals dominated the opening set as they scored nine of the last 11 points overall to win the set.
- Buffalo State kept their foot on the gas in the second set. With the score even at 17 apiece, the Bengals went on a 7-2 run to win the second set.
- Houghton bounced-back to win the third set despite a late push from the Bengals.
- After a strong start to the fourth set from the Highlanders, rallied for a five-point swing before eventually rallying for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Elijah Sproull had 10 kills to lead the Highlanders.
- Xavier Ramos led the way with 11 digs in the effort.
