Outdoor Track & Field Has Strong Showing At Widener Invite

CHESTER, PA – The Buffalo State outdoor track & field team finished competition at day two of the Danny Curran Invite hosted by Widener University.

The Bengal Breakdown
  • Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) took home first in the long jump with a leap of 5.69 meters.
  • Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) took home a second place finish in his outdoor debut with a school record mark of 52.52 meters in the hammer throw.
  • Laster and Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) finished third and fourth, respectively in the 200-meter dash.
  • D'Antonio Lawrence (New Windsor, NY/Cornwall) took home eighth in the long jump at 6.70 meters while Noah Holden (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) was ninth in the steeplechase.
 
UP NEXT
The Bengals will return to the track next Saturday as they will travel to the Geneseo Invite.
