Indoor Track & Field Has Strong Showing At Final Day Of Regional Meet

ITHACA, NY – The Buffalo State indoor track and field teams competed at day two of the AARTFC Regional Meet hosted by Ithaca College at the A&E Center.

The Bengal Breakdown
  • Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) raced to a first place finish in the 400-meter dash with a meet record time of 56.43 seconds, edging out Kaitlyn Ewald of Colby who crossed the line at 56.80 seconds.
  • Sawyer also finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.87 seconds.
  • Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) finished eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 16.54 meters.
  • Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) reached a mark of 14.98 meters while in the women's weight throw, Bryanna Herring (Brockport, NY/Brockport) hit 12.69 meters.
 
UP NEXT
The Bengals will wait for the results of the remaining meets around the country to determine if any have qualified for NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by Nazareth next weekend.
