BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's volleyball team swept the Hilbert College Hawks, 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-14), on 'Senior Night' in the Bengals latest AMCC matchup of the season.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- The Bengals three-seniors each perfomed extremely well, propelling the Bengals to a sweep over the Hawks. Malachi Jackson (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga) led the Bengals with 13-kills, while adding two block assists on defense. Defensively, Alex Nuez (Paterson, NJ/Eastside) and Luis Garcia (Depew, NY/Lafayette) provided their defensive specialist abilities with Nuez racking up four-digs, while Garcia tallied up five-digs.
- Outside of the Bengals seniors, Kaden Strong (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) backed up Jackson with ten-kills in tonight's action. Drew Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) continued his playmaking abilities, racking up 30-assists.
- Defensively, Alex Vega (Cambita Garabitos, Dominican Republic) and D. Bowman picked up seven-digs each, with Strong leading the Bengals with two-blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On 'Senior Day' in the Sports Arena, the Buffalo State Bengals looked to continue their strong run in AMCC conference play, with the postseason tournament looming on the horizon. Facing off against the Hilbert College Hawks, the Bengals came out firing, opening the match on a seven-point rally that set the tone for the night. Their early dominance carried them comfortably to a first-set win.
- The second set was more of the same, as the Bengals once again surged ahead with a six-point run to seize an early lead. They later answered with another six-point rally late in the set, closing it out convincingly and putting themselves in position to complete the sweep in the third.
- In the final set, the Hawks came out with a spark, putting together a four-point rally to take an early lead. But the Bengals quickly responded with a six-point burst of their own and never looked back. They closed the match with a commanding stretch, stringing together five- and six-point rallies, in route in securing the game sweep over the Hawks and clinching a spot in this season's AMCC conference tournament.

- George Muriel and Nikolas D'Andrea led the Hawks with five-kills each.
- Defensively, Jacob Sehn led with four-digs for the Hawks.
