BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's volleyball team clinched a spot in the AMCC Championship tomorrow afternoon following their three-set sweep of Mount Aloysius in the AMCC Tournament Semifinals.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Malachi Jackson (Buffalo, NY/Cheektowaga) paced the Bengals with 17 kills on 20 attempts.
- Gavin Wilczewski (Elma, NY/East Aurora) made his return to the Bengal lineup with 13 kills, five digs, and a .478 attack percentage.
- Drew Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) dished out 41 assists while Hayden McCue (Fairport, NY/Fairport) picked up three blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After going back-and-forth for most of the first set, the Bengals rallied for a 6-1 swing to take advantage.
- Jackson picked up the final kill to give Buffalo State an early lead.
- Buffalo State then went on cruise control during the second set opening with a 20-6 lead. The Bengals then went on to score the final two points to win the set.
- An early 6-0 run for the Bengals was enough in the third set before the team went on to score seven of the final eight points overall to win the match in three sets.
FOR THE FOES
- Tayshaun Johnson led the Mounties with eight kills.
- Evan Schmidt dished out 18 assists.
