BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State outdoor track & field team had a strong showing this evening at the UB Alumni Invite at UB Stadium.

The Bengal Breakdown

• Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) won the shot put at 16.08 meters, breaking his own school record of 16.05 meters from last season.
• Later in the meet, Goodman took third in the hammer throw with Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) finishing second.
• Noah Holden (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) took home fourth in the steeplechase with a time of 10:09.72.
• Zakhiya McQueen (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) finished fifth in the 100m hurdles while Julius Arias (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) finished fourth in the 110m hurdles. Arias later finished sixth in the 400m hurdles while Jalil Coppedge (Bronx, NY/Ralph R. McKee) finished fifth.
• Logan Abate (Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills) raced to a sixth place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.35 seconds. Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) continued his strong season on the track finishing sixth in the 400m run with a time of 51.12.
• In the discus throw, Dom Cervellera (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) finished second with Goodman, Jason Kinder (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield), and Honan finishing third through fifth, respectively.
• The women's shot put featured Bryanna Herring (Brockport, NY/Brockport) taking home sixth and Marina Mansfield (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) finishing right behind in seventh. Herring also took fifth in the hammer throw.
• Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) leaped to a fourth place finish in the long jump at 5.48 meters.
