INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Deme Kellogg (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) and Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) each picked up the lone hits for the Bengals in game one.
- Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) allowed an unearned run with five strikeouts on the mound for Buffalo State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a pitching duel in game one as Pezdek and Kendall Phillips combined to allow just four hits through the first seven innings of action.
- Phillips held the Bengals hitless until the seventh inning.
- Quagliana had a leadoff single for the Bengals in the eighth and reached second on a stolen base. The Blue Devils were able to keep Buffalo State off the board.
- Fredonia walked-off game one after an error from the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Phillips struck out 10 on the mound to earn the win.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Kellogg and Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) each had three hits for the Bengals. Lucas had three RBI while Kellogg tallied two.
- Pezdek added two hits, and RBI, and earned a save pitching 1.2 innings of relief while striking out three.
- Lucas got the win on the mound going 5.1 innings allowing five earned runs with five strikeouts and a walk.
- Brown earned her 400th career win as a head coach across her career with the victory with 115 of those wins coming at Buffalo State. She currently sits second all-time in wins in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State got their offense going in the first inning as Lucas and Kellogg each had an RBI hit.
- Fredonia responded immediately in the bottom half of the inning with a pair of runs.
- In the second inning, the Bengals pushed two more runs across to retake the lead before Fredonia scored two runs of their own across the next two innings.
- The Bengals scored two runs in the fourth as Lucas came through with a two-run single. Buffalo State would score two more runs in the sixth after RBI hits from Pezdek and Kellogg.
- Pezdek came in to pitch in relief in the sixth and kept the Blue Devils from rallying back into the action to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Madison Lowe and Avery Hill each drove in a pair of runs for Fredonia.
- Lowe took the loss on the mound pitching 3.2 innings allowing six hits, six unearned runs, two walks, and a strikeout.
