INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Opening a three-game road stretch, the Bengals looked to rebound from a tough loss to Lycoming College in their previous outing. However, the St. John Fisher Cardinals struck quickly, scoring just 20 seconds into the match.
- Despite the early blow, the Bengals' defense settled in, holding firm and creating opportunities for the offense to respond. At the break, the Bengals trailed 1-0.
- Out of halftime, the Bengals pushed for the equalizer in the non-conference battle, generating several chances. Still, it was the Cardinals who extended their lead in the 60th minute. A late Bengals surge was denied, as the Cardinals sealed the game with a goal in the 88th minute to hand the Bengals their first road loss of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Madelyn Wania led the Cardinals with two goals, with Brooklyn Drago scoring a goal as well.
- Sofia Pantoja completed a full-game shutout, making three saves in net.
