FREDONIA, NY – The #16-ranked Buffalo State men's soccer team opened the annual Fredonia Classic with a 6-0 shutout win over Bryant & Stratton this afternoon at University Stadium.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) and Manasseh Turenne (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) paced the Bengals offense with two goals each. Rivera has now scored in each of Buffalo State's first three games while Turenne scored his first pair of goals as a Bengal.
- Liam Molloy (Rego Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) and Sam Gregson (Anglesey, Wales/Ysgol David Hughes) also scored for Buffalo State.
- Alec Stasyuk (Syracuse, NY/Marcellus) picked up a pair of assists while goalkeeper Carson Smith (Big Flats, NY/Horseheads) recorded two saves for his second shutout of the season.
- In total, eight Bengals tallied at least one point in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gregson and Rivera got the Buffalo State offense going early as they each scored within the first three minutes of action.
- The Bengals kept the pressure on offense as Molloy scored later in the half with Rivera tallying his second goal less than ten minutes later.
- Bryant & Stratton could not gain any offensive momentum as Turenne tallied both of his goals in the second half to solidify the win.
- Overall, Buffalo State outshout Bryant & Stratton 15-4 overall with nine of the Bengals shots being on goal.
FOR THE FOES
- Louka Carion-Janes made three saves in goal in the effort.
