BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State men's hockey team came away with a dominant 6-2 victory over the Mustangs tonight at the Ice Arena.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE

• Vadim Kiriakov (Tyumen, Russia/Altay Ust-Kamenogorsk) scored twice to lead the Bengals.
• Austin Micale (Hamilton, NJ/Nashville Spartans) scored and had two assists while Sutton Murray had a trio of assists.
• Marcus Cumberworth (Surrey, BC/Olds Grizzlys) made 27 saves in goal in the effort.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Buffalo State came away with a pair of goals in the opening period as Ryan Messing (Hamburg, NY/Metro Jets) and Micale each scored.
• Kiriakov netted his first goal of the evening just over a minute into the second period. Morrisville got on the board later into the period despite the Bengals leading 3-1 into the final 20 minutes of action.
• The Bengals scored three goals in the third period as they cruised in the final minutes of action.

 
FOR THE FOES

• Chad Lowe made 43 saves in goal in the effort for the Mustangs.
