HOW IT HAPPENED
- After drawing with the Oswego State Lakers in their last outing on Coyer Field, the Bengals returned to the turf to host the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers, the newest member of the SUNYAC.
- The Bengals came out strong in the first half, outpacing the Fighting Tigers and keeping possession in their opponent's defensive zone. Their early attack paid off in the 15th minute, as the Bengals found the back of the net to take the lead. Buffalo State continued to apply pressure, adding back-to-back goals in the 27th and 28th minutes to build a three-goal advantage. The Bengals carried that lead into halftime after dominating much of the opening half.
- Coming out of the halftime break, the Bengals continued their strong pace of play, netting their fourth goal in the 54th minute. Buffalo State proved to be too much for its newest SUNYAC foe, adding a fifth goal in the 69th minute to cruise past the Fighting Tigers and secure its second SUNYAC win of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Kayleigh Bryant led the Fighting Tigers with their lone shot on goal.
- Sammy Fausti led all players with 15 saves in net.
