CANTON, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team earned a 3-3 tie with Canton this afternoon to close out the regular season at the Roos House Ice Arena.

- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons), Arissa Vettraino (Lake Villa, IL/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals), and Dakota Carlson (Perrysburg, OH/Biggby) each scored for Buffalo State.
- Three different Bengals earned an assist.
- Alexa Todd (Owen Sound, ON/Saugeen Maitland Lightning) made 29 saves in goal for the Bengals.
- Despite falling one game short of the postseason, the Bengals put together one of their best seasons in recent years earning their most wins in a single season since the 2017-18 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both sides found the back of the net in the opening period of action. After Carlson opened the scoring, the Roos evened the score on a power play opportunity later in the first.
- After Canton took the lead early in the second, Willick scored to even things on a power play chance before the Roos retook the lead again to carry a 3-2 lead into the final 20 minutes of action.
- Vettraino scored as time expired to tie the game and to give the Bengals hope entering overtime.
- Neither side could score in overtime before Buffalo State won the shootout, 3-2.

- Danika Lalonde scored and earned an assist for the Roos.
- Moly Lenihan made 30 saves between the pipes for Canton.
