BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo State's
Emily Delisle (Mechanicville, NY/Shenendehowa),
Amya Moore (Hudson, NY/Hudson),
Chyann Kelly (Bailey, CO/Platte Canyon), and
Morgan Popp (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home) have been recognized for their outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments, earning a selection to the 2025-26 Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must display combined excellence in their sport and in the classroom, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above through at least two full semesters at their institution, while also participating in 90%, or starting 66%, of their team's contests during the season. All four Bengals earn the honor for the first time in their respective careers.
Delisle, Kelly, and Popp each carry 4.00 GPAs in their respective majors while Moore holds a 3.80 GPA. All four were crucial pieces for the Bengals as Delisle, Kelly, and Moore appeared in all 25 games while Popp missed just one game the whole season.
Moore became a staple in the starting lineup making 20 starts while averaging 7.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She had 11 games in which she scored double figures with two of those being double-double showings. Kelly was right there with her making 22 starts averaging 6.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. She was also third on the team with 99 total rebounds on the season.
Delisle played crucial minutes for Buffalo State and contributed 31 assists and 25 steals while shooting nearly 70% from the free throw line. For Popp, she averaged just under six points per game while posting seven double figure outings.
