Lucas Signoretti Named SUNYAC Men's Hockey Rookie Of The Year

BUFFALO, NY – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2025-26 men's hockey major awards today, recognizing Lucas Signoretti (Ottawa, ON/Sudbury Cubs) as the SUNYAC Men's Hockey Rookie of the Year. Signoretti was also a Second Team All-SUNYAC selection and earned a spot on the SUNYAC All-Rookie team.
 
Signoretti finishes off a stellar first year for the Bengals, earning Rookie of the Year honors. He led the team with 28 points on 13 goals, 15 assists, six power play goals, and three game-winning goals. He finished the regular season in the top five in points and goals while finishing tied for seventh in assists. In addition, he posted two multi-goal performances including a four goal game against Potsdam as part of a five point performance.
 
Signoretti earns the fifth SUNYAC Rookie of the Year honor in program history. He joins Rob McNamara (1994-95), Nick Petriello (2007-08), Andrew Husted (2018-19), and most recently Nikita Kozyrev back in 2019-20. Signoretti joins Husted and Kozyrev as the three recipients under head coach Steve Murphy.
