NEW PALTZ, NY– The Buffalo State softball team fell to the Cortland Red Dragons, 6-1, this afternoon in the SUNYAC Championship on Mary Gray Deane Field.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Ashley Jedrich (Victor, NY/Victor) drove in the lone Buffalo State run with a sac fly.
- Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) went 5.2 innings allowing three earned runs with one strikeout.
- Pezdek, Jedrich, and Deme Kellogg (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) were also named to the All-Tournament team.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After both sides were locked in a stalemate through three innings of action, Cortland got on the board first with a sac fly.
- Buffalo State immediately responded in the top of the fifth to even the score at 1-1.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Red Dragons plated a pair of runs before pushing three more across in the sixth inning.
- In the top of the seventh, the Bengals were retired in order as Cortland clinched their second straight championship.
