Outdoor Track & Field Opens Action At AARTFC Regional Meet

COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Buffalo State men's and women's outdoor track & field team opened action today at AARTFC Regional Championships hosted by Ursinus College. As a team after day one, the Bengal men are tied for 16th overall while the women are tied for 19th overall.
 
THE BENGAL BREAKDOWN
  • Jalil Coppedge (Bronx, NY/Ralph R. McKee) finished 10th in the 110-meter hurdles while Julius Arias (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) was 16th.
  • The men's 4x400-meter relay crossed the line in ninth place overall with a time of 3:18.11.
  • Ricky Curiel (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) was seventh in the 10,000-meter run at 32:24.03.
  • In the throws, Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) was fifth in the men's hammer throw while Nyla Wilson-Epps (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry) was fourth in the women's hammer throw, breaking her own school record with a mark of 50.34 meters.

The Bengals will close out the regional meet tomorrow with action beginning at 12:00 pm.
