BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team earned the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. To qualify, programs must maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 or better as a team.
 
Head Coach Maria Roberts' squad is a recipient of the Team Academic Award for a fourth consecutive year. The Bengals held a 3.47 GPA as a team for the Spring 2026 semester with four student-athletes earning a 4.00 GPA and 16 posting above a 3.00.

In 2025, the Bengals reached the postseason for a fifth straight season, the longest postseason stretch under Roberts.
