Alejandro Overton

Overton joined the Bengals' staff in 2017 to coach the team's wide receivers. 

He comes to Buffalo State with a wealth of coaching experience at the high school level. He had successful stints coaching wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks and serving as an offensive coordinator at Canisius, Bennett and McKinley High Schools for more than a decade.  He helped Canisius win three-consecutive MMA Championships, and helped the Crusaders win the inaugural Catholic State Championship game over Stepinac in 2014.  The Crusaders were ranked 30th in the USA Today poll and No. 1 in New York State.  Overton also won a Section VI Class A Championship with Bennett.

He coached a number of players who went on to play Division I, including Ryan Hunter (Bowling Green), Qadree Ollison (Pitt), and TJ Wheatley (Michigan) and Isaiah McDuffie (Boston College), who were both named Buffalo News Player of the Year.

During the winter, Overton runs his own wide receiver clinic in Buffalo called Widereceivercity, teaching the skills of the position to youth players of all ages.
