Buffalo State University Athletics

Schaefer joined the Bengals staff in 2019 as a student assistant while finishing his bachelor's degree at Canisius College.

A former player locally at St. Joe's Collegiate Institute, he went on to play one season at Baldwin-Wallace before beginning his coaching career.  Schaefer coached at St. Joe's for two seasons, working with defensive backs, specials, wide receivers and quarterbacks and will assist with defensive backs at Buffalo State.

A native of Buffalo, he also works gameday operations at Canisius College.
