DeAngelo Walker joined the Buffalo State College football staff in August, 2021. Walker will work with the Bengal defensive backs.
Walker joins Buffalo State after a four-year football career at SUNY Cortland. Walker, who made the switch to defensive back as a sophomore after being recruited to play quarterback, played in 28 career games for the Red Dragons. As a senior in 2019, Walker registered 18 tackles and three pass breakups. As a freshman in the 2016 season, Walker completed 38-of-71 pass attempts for 540 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 228 yards and one touchdown in six games played.
Walker graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Sports Management in May, 2020.
Walker, a Kenmore native, suited up for Kenmore West High School as a three-year member of the football and track and field teams, and a one-year member of the basketball team. On the gridiron, Walker was an all-state defensive back as a senior and a first team AA All-North quarterback as a junior, as he led his team to two AA North titles. On the track, he earned first and second team all-league honors.
