Anderson joined the Buffalo State Bengals football staff as a tight ends coach prior to the 2023 season and worked as the defensive line coach during the 2024 season. As of today, Anderson serves as the run game coordinator, offensive line, and tight ends coach for the Bengals.

Anderson, a local native, attended Hutch Tech in Buffalo, NY, where he was named varsity captain through his four years of play for the Engineers. Anderson went on to play Division III football at the University of Mount Union as an offensive tackle, while majoring in physical education and communication with a minor in coaching.

Post-graduation, Anderson began his coaching duties for the Eden-North Collins team in the Greater Western New York area, as an offensive line coach. Under his leadership, Anderson helped lead the Eden-North Collins football program to the Section 6-Class C playoffs.

During his time with the Bengals, Anderson oversaw the Bengals defense turn into one of the best in the Liberty League. Buffalo State saw their red zone defensive efficiency scoring rates reduce from 91% in 2023 to 69% in 2024 as well as opponents rushing touchdowns reduced from 27 in 2023 to just 14 in 2024.
