Jeremiah Sorenson M.S., ATC, CES begins his third full school year asĀ Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Human Performance at Buffalo State University in 2025-26.

Sorenson joined Buffalo StateĀ in March of 2023 from SUNY Brockport, where he had served as an assistant athletic trainer since 2017. During that time, he was the primary athletic trainer for the field hockey, men's soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball, and men's lacrosse teams. Sorenson provided game and practice coverage, implemented injury rehabilitation programs, and assisted in the supervision of strength and conditioning interns, as well as the weight room.

Prior to Brockport, Sorenson was an assistant athletic trainer for SUNY Geneseo from 2015 to 2017. He served as the primary athletic trainer for the Knights' men's basketball, women's basketball, and softball teams. Sorenson was responsible for providing training room coverage for rehabilitation of all varsity athletes, managed documentation of injuries and treatments, and assisted with the supervision and education of student interns and athletic training students.

Outside of the college system, Sorenson has served as an assistant athletic trainer for USA Hockey since 2012, Head Athletic Trainer of the WNY Flash in the 2016 season in which the squad won the National Women's Soccer League Championship, Head Athletic Trainer for United Health Services from 2012 to 2015, and as an athletic trainer at the high school level from 2012 to 2015.

Sorenson completed his bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from SUNY Brockport in 2012, and received his master's degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Rehabilitation Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Ā
