Nicole Mehlman-Davidow was promoted to head cross country and track and field coach for the 2019-20 seasons following serving in an interim capacity during the 2018-19 seasons.
Mehlman-Davidow mentored Buffalo State’s first-ever NCAA qualifier in cross country and had four national qualifiers in track and field in 2018-19, including Nisa Raqib who earned All-America honors as runner-up in the indoor triple jump. She added another NCAA qualifier in Ashley Lyons during the 2020 indoor track season.
Mehlman-Davidow first joined the Bengals staff as an assistant with the cross country and track and field programs in 2015. Prior to coming to Buffalo State, she worked with the cross country program at Hilbert College for two seasons and also helped coach track and field at Kenmore East High School. She has served as a guest speaker at cross country camps at Piedmont College.
Mehlman-Davidow was a four-year cross country runner and team captain at Division I Niagara University where she earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies with a minor in sport management. She completed her master’s from Buffalo State in higher education and student affairs administration, and possesses a USTFCCCA Level 1 Certification and USATF Level 2: Endurance Certified .
