Austin competed for the Bengals track and field and cross country teams for four seasons.  He was a four-time SUNYAC Champion winning the 800-meter run three times and also claiming a title with the indoor 4x400-meter relay.  He was also a three time NCAA qualifier, competing twice in the 800-meter and once in the DMR.  A native of Broadalbin, NY, he has also coached at Canisius High School.
