Lucy Schoedel

Lucy Schoedel joined the Buffalo State’s women’s hockey staff as an assistant in 2013.

Schoedel spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Division I Brown University, and was an assistant at Wesleyan University, where she was the recruiting coordinator and goalie coach. She also works with USA Hockey in various capacities, including as a goaltending scout for the national team.

As a player, she spent two years at the University of New Hampshire, making a Frozen Four appearance in 2008, before transferring to Syracuse University. She was a two-time MVP with the Orange and was also a two-time nominee for the Patty Kazmaier Award, presented annually to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey.

A native of Ithaca, N.Y., Schoedel completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Syracuse in 2010.
