Joanie Smith joined the Bengals' coaching staff in 2015. Smith hs several years of coaching experience at various levels, including club, high school and college teams.
She served as an assistant at Georgia Southern University for one season and two seasons at Southeast Bulloch High School, also in Georgia. She also was a club coach for four years with Team Atlantis, WAVE and the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association.
As a player, she was a three-time All-Conference honoree at Division II University of Mount Olive in North Carolina. A native of Purcellville, Virginia, Smith and her husband Scott currently reside in Cheektowaga.
