Leanne Maloney

Leanne Maloney joined Buffalo State's women's volleyball staff as an assistant coach for the 2015 season.
 
Maloney is no stranger to the SUNYAC, serving as a three-year starter as an outside hitter at Fredonia, where she was named MVP of the SUNYAC Championships after leading the Blue Devils to a conference title as a senior in 2008.  She was also a two-time All-SUNYAC selection and served as a team captain.  Maloney began her collegiate career at Division I St. Peter’s before transferring to Fredonia. 
 
Maloney’s previous coaching experience includes four years coaching with Niagara Frontier Volleyball,  spending two years as the head coach of the girls’ 17-2 team.  She also coached boys varsity volleyball for two seasons with Our Lady of Sacred Heart School.
 
The Western New York-native was also a standout high school player at Mount Mercy Academy where she now works as a special events manager.  Maloney completed her bachelor’s degree in communication from Fredonia.
