Buffalo State head football coach Mike Neale has announced the addition of Don Grinstead to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2026 season. He will serve as the Offensive Line Coach.

Grinstead joins Neale’s staff after most recently serving as the defensive line coach at Delaware Valley, where he spent two seasons contributing to a combined 16–6 record for the Aggies. During his tenure, the defense ranked among the top units nationally, including a second-place national ranking in both total defense and scoring defense in 2024. Prior to coaching in the college scene, Grinstead saw time as the head coach at Phoenixville High School and Pottstown Highschool. In 2015, he led Pottstown High School to their first winning season and postseason appearance in over a decade and was named the Mercury Area Coach of the Year. As a player, Grinstead earned All-City, All-District, and All-State honors out of Patterson Co-Op High School. He later went on to play one semi-professional season with the Dayton Drive and earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and his master’s in coaching education from Ohio University.
