Buffalo State head football coach Mike Neale has announced the addition of John Marzka to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2026 season. He will serve as the Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach.

Marzka joins the Buffalo State staff after most recently serving as the head prep coach for the United State Military Academy at West Point. Holding the position since 2023, Marzka was tasked with developing and advancing cadet candidates into Division I FBS programs and saw his team win the CIC Championship in 2023. Marzka most notably was the head coach at Albright College from 2007-2022 where his program saw ten postseason appearances, seven championships, and himself earning MAC and Nike Coach of the Year honors. An accomplished student-athlete in his own right, Marzka earned his bachelor's degree in psychology/neuropsychology from Allegheny College where he was a two-time All-American and was also the co-captain and center of the Gators 1990 Division III National Championship team that took down Lycoming in overtime.
