Buffalo State University Athletics

Zach Nau was named the Athletic Communication Manager during the 2024-25 year. He previously served two years as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Buffalo State.

Nau earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in political science after a successful career as a member of the men’s swimming and diving team at Buffalo State from 2018-2022. He served as a team captain for three seasons and was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

At the 2022 SUNYAC Championships, Nau placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.37 seconds, and finished eighth in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:03.80.  

While at Buffalo State, Nau also worked for three years in the sports information department, where he served as a student assistant for gameday operations and statistical coverage.
