The junior business major made the most of his final swim of the season on Saturday, placing eighth in the 100 free at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, earning All-America honors.  He posted of time of 44.80 seconds after clocking a personal season-best time of 44.55 seconds in the morning prelims. Mergler also placed 20th in both the 50 and 200 free events earlier in the week.
