Benton, a health and wellness major, opened SUNYAC competition with a flurry, hitting .675 (6-for-8) at the plate, with five doubles and three runs batted in. The senior hit two doubles in the opening game against Oswego and Fiona Higgins, one of the best pitchers in the league. She surpassed it in game two with a 4-for-4 effort, hitting three doubles and driving in three runs.
