Lucas, a sophomore biology major, had a strong start to the 2024 season with a complete game shutout against Clarkson on Sunday to open the team's season. Lucas went seven shutout innings allowing just one hit with six strikeouts. After allowing a leadoff single to start the game, Lucas dominated the rest of the way and allowed just one other base runner. At the plate, Lucas helped herself out with an RBI single in the Bengals' 3-0 victory.
