CORTLAND, NY—Buffalo State (0-2) followed an almost identical script to yesterday's season-opening loss, scoring first early, before falling by a same 2-1 score, this time to Fredonia (1-1), in the final day of the SUNYAC Challenge at Cortland.

Freshman Cory Park (Mississauga, ON/St. Joseph) gave the Bengals the lead just 1:37 into the game with a power-play marker from Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) and Joe Curry (Indian River, ON/Norwood District). Fredonia pulled even with an even strength goal in the second period, and then netted the game-winner early in the final period.

Fredonia held a 28-24 edge in shots on goal. Zach Grasley (Ancaster, ON/St. Mary's) made had 26 saves for Buffalo State.  The Bengals were 1 for 6 on the power play, compared to 0 for 6 by Fredonia.

Buffalo State will open its home schedule next Friday when it welcomes Hobart to the Ice Arena for a 7 p.m. face off.
