GENESEO, NY—Buffalo State (4-7-1/3-3-1) could not overcome a slow start, falling 4-2 at Geneseo (8-3-1/4-2-1) in a SUNYAC battle tonight at the Ira Wilson Arena.

Geneseo raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, scoring three times on 11 shots. Buffalo State closed the gap to 3-2 by the end of the second period with a pair of power-play goals. Cory Park (Mississauga, ON/St. Joseph) scored the first Bengal goal, and Will Lacasse (St. Pie, PQ/College Antoine-Girouard) tallied the second. Ryan Ramage (Ft. Erie, ON/Ft. Erie) assisted on both goals. Geneseo added a power-play goal of its own in the third period, however, to put the game out of reach.

The Knight outshot the Bengal, 34-29 for the game. Zach Grasley (Ancaster, ON/St. Mary's) allowed four goals on 32 shots. Alan Fritch (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) made two saves in relief for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will visit Brockport for another league game tomorrow at 7 p.m.
