Women’s Basketball Bows at New Paltz, 56-39

Barb Kiliszek was the only Bengal in double-digits with 16 points

NEW PALTZ, NY— New Paltz (6-2/3-0) remained undefeated in league play, defeating visiting Buffalo State (1-6/0-2), 56-39, in a SUNYAC game this afternoon at the Hawk Center.

Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) led the Bengals with 16 points, nine rebounds and four steals. No other Bengal tallied more than five points.

The Hawks led 28-20 at halftime and never let the Bengals get closer than six in the second half. New Paltz pulled away down the stretch, making its free throws to end the game with its widest advantage of the day. Buffalo State shot just 27-percent from the field, but limited New Paltz to 25-percent shooting.

Buffalo State will next host Pitt-Bradford in a non-conference game on Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.
