BUFFALO, NY—Jesse Adair (Brampton, ON/North Park) and Cory Park (Mississauga, ON/St. Joseph) each scored twice to lead Buffalo State (7-8-1) to a lopsided 7-2 win over visiting Johnson & Wales (6-6-2) in a non-conference game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Kerry Barchan (Oakville, ON/Queen Elizabeth Park) and D'Arcy Thomas (Gatineau, PQ/Philemon Wright) had a goal and an assist apiece, while Joe Curry (Indian River, ON/Norwood District) added a goal and two assists. Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) finished with three assists. Jason Hill (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) and Tyler Soehner (Baden, ON/Waterloo Oxford) recorded two assists. Travis Whitehead (Cambridge, ON/Galt Collegiate) and Stephane Phaneuf (Winnipeg, MB/St. Paul's) chipped in one assist each.

The Bengals took a commanding 4-0 lead in the first period and tacked on three more in second. Johnson & Wales got on the board at the 2:23 mark of the third stanza on a shorthanded tally and scored its second of the game at 15:37 to close out all scoring.

Buffalo State was 2 for 8 on the power play and outshot the Wildcats 39-22. Zach Grasley (Ancaster, ON/St. Mary's) posted his second shutout of the season, stopping 20 shots.

The Bengals will face Johnson & Wales again tomorrow at 7 p.m.
