BUFFALO, NY—Plattsburgh's Eric Satim (Montreal, PQ) notched a hat trick to lead the No. 1-ranked Cardinals (14-1-2/9-0-1) to an 8-0 shutout over host Buffalo State (8-9-2/3-5-2) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Plattsburgh scored two goals in the first 6:47 and then added three more in the second and third periods, respectively. The Cardinals were 4 of 8 on the power play and also recorded a shorthanded tally.

Buffalo State will next travel to Cortland on Friday for a 7 p.m. game. Plattsburgh will host Middlebury in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
