BROCKPORT, NY—Buffalo State (1-4-1/1-3) outshot host Brockport (2-3/2-2) 38-27, but came out on the short end of a 5-2 decision in a SUNYAC game tonight at Tuttle North Arena.

James Durham (Marilla, NY/St. Francis) put the Bengals' on the scoreboard just 1:16 into the game, but the Golden Eagles scored twice late in the opening period to take a 2-1 lead. Brockport pushed its lead to 3-1 with the lone goal of the second period, before Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) closed the gap to 3-2 in the final frame. Brockport answered with another goal, however, and added an empty-netter to ice the win.

Buffalo State will visit Geneseo tomorrow at 7 p.m.
