RYE, NY—Manhattanville (7-4) netted a power-play and a shorthanded goal in a 3-0 win over visiting Buffalo State (3-9-1) in a non-conference matchup tonight at the Playland Ice Casino.

The Valiants started the scoring with an even-strength goal early in the second period, and then pulled away with special teams. After netting a shorthanded goal later in the second period, Manhattanville closed the scoring with a power-play marker late in the final stanza.

Buffalo State was outshot, 35-21. Alan Fritch (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) made 32 saves for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will break for the holidays before returning to action on Jan. 8 with a home contest against Franklin Pierce.
