BUFFALO, NY—Katie Landy (Jamestown/Southwestern) scored 14 points to lead Fredonia (9-13/2-11) to a 45-40 victory over host Buffalo State (5-19/4-11) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia/Fredonia) added 12 points and six boards for the Blue Devils. Caroline Hourihan (Buffalo/Nardin) chipped in nine points and three steals.

Jessica Clark (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) led Buffalo State with 15 points and added six rebounds. Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) had 13 points, seven boards and six steals.

Fredonia led 19-14 after a sloppy first half that saw the two teams combine to commit 31 turnovers and had a stretch of more than seven minutes without a field goal by either team. The Blue Devils opened the second half with a 7-0 run and held on for the five-point victory. Fredonia shot 35-percent from the field, compared to 26-percent shooting by the Bengals.

Buffalo State will play its final regular season game on Friday at Oswego.
