CORTLAND, NY—Buffalo State (27-11) blanked Brockport (27-10-1) 6-0 to remain in the winner's bracket today in the double-elimination SUNYAC Championships today at Cortland. The Bengals were trailing top-seeded Cortland 4-3 in the top of the sixth in the second game of the day before the contest was halted due to rain. The game will resume tomorrow at noon.

Nicole Sabuda (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) picked up her second win of the tournament and her 13th of the season, hurling a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts against Brockport. She also added a solo-homerun as the Bengals plated six runs on just four hits. Kaylee Lekki (N. Tonwanda/Niagara-Wheatfield) was 1 for 3 with a homerun and three RBIs. Marissa Mariano (Williamsville/Mt. St. Mary) went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Jolene Banach (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

The winner of the Cortland/Buffalo State game will play Brockport in an elimination game, and he winner will advance to the championship.
