CORTLAND, NY—Cortland (7-12/4-6) outshot Buffalo State (6-12-1/2-8) 46-20 and skated to a 4-2 victory in a SUNYAC battle tonight at Alumni Arena.

Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) and Nicholas Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) were the Bengals' goal scorers in the loss.

Cortland jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period, before McKinney cut the deficit in half early in the second frame. The Red Dragons pushed the lead to 4-1 when Petriello concluded the scoring with five minutes remaining.

Alan Fritch (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) made 42 saves in goal for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will visit Fredonia next Friday at 7 p.m.
