BUFFALO, NY— James Durham (Marilla/St. Francis) scored a pair of goals including the game-winner as Buffalo State (4-9-1) received goals from seven different players as the Bengals beat visiting Franklin Pierce (3-9-2) by a score of 7-3 at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.

Buffalo State scored three times in the first period to take a 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission. Franklin Pierce scored two goals in the second as Roscoe Sweeney (Falmouth, MA) and Sean Woodring (Rogue River, OR) each put one in the net but Buffalo State answered with a goal of its own in the second and added three more in the third for the victory.

Buffalo State received goals from Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair), Drew Klin (Lancaster/Lancaster), D'Arcy Thomas (Gatineau, PQ/Philemon Wright), Nick Petriello (St. Catherines, ON/Holy Cross), and Kyle Granville (Lockport/Starpoint) on the evening as the Bengals outshot Franklin Pierce 38-20.

The next action for the Bengals is tomorrow afternoon as they will face off against Franklin Pierce again with a 3 p.m. start time.
