BUFFALO, NY—D'Arcy Thomas (Gatineau, PQ/Philemon Wright) and Connor King (Nashville, TN/Brentwood) each had a goal and two assists to lead Buffalo State (5-9-1) to a 6-1 win over visiting Franklin Pierce (3-10-2) today to complete the weekend sweep at the Ice Arena.

Joel Sheppard (Pefferlaw, ON/Sutton District) added a goal and an assist, and James Durham (Marilla/St. Francis), Tyler Soehner (Baden, ON/Waterloo Oxford) and Kyle Granville (Lockport/Starpoint) netted single tallies in the lopsided win.

Phil LaBreck (Thornton, NH) scored lone goal for Franklin Pierce on the power play early in the second period to cut the deficit to 2-1, but the Bengals pulled away with three more goals before the second frame was over.

Buffalo State goaltender Alan Fritch (Saginaw, MI/Heritage) needed to make 17 saves in the win as the Bengals held a 36-18 shooting advantage.

The next action for Buffalo State is next Friday as it will play a road contest against Johnson & Wales scheduled for 7 p.m.
