BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (2-2-1/2-2-1) freshman Kevin Carr (Unionville, ON/Unionville) made 44 saves to preserve a 1-1 against visiting Geneseo (4-1-2/3-1-1) in a SUNYAC battle tonight at the Ice Arena.

Geneseo struck first late in the second period on a rebound in front of the goal. Trevor McKinney (Oakwood, ON/Sinclair) ripped a slap shot over the Geneseo goalie's glove just 1:27 into the third period to tie the game, however. Jason Cleaver (York, PA/Central District) picked up the lone assist.

Geneseo controlled play for much of the night, but was unable to convert on any of its six power play opportunities, including a pair of two-man advantages. Buffalo State had just one try on the power play. The Knights outshot the Bengals 45-23 for the game, but Carr was steady all night.

Buffalo State travel to North Country next weekend, stopping first in Plattsburgh on Friday at 7 p.m.
